A passionate genealogist
My adventure with genealogy began very naturally - with a desire to learn about the fate of my ancestors. This curiosity quickly developed into a great passion, and discovering complex family histories and creating new family trees gives me incredible pleasure today.
Genealogy holds no secrets for me, as best evidenced by my own family tree, which already has over 12,000 people in my direct and collateral lines, with my oldest ancestor born in the second half of the 17th century. Thanks to years of research, I have become intimately familiar with the specifics of archives in various regions.
My family comes from Poland and from the former Eastern Borderlands:
- Greater Poland, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, Lesser Poland, Łódź, and Silesian Voivodeships,
- present-day Ukraine and Belarus.
I also traced the post-war migrations of my relatives in Podlasie and Lower Silesia, all the way to the Opole Voivodeship, where most of my family lives today.
This wide range of research taught me how to effectively navigate documents from various partitions, written in different languages and systems. I have collected over 400 pages of my ancestors' documents, including vital records, ID envelopes, registration cards, and employment certificates.
I lived in Iceland for five years. This experience gave me a full understanding of the emigrant perspective. I know all too well how difficult, frustrating, and complicated it can be to search for traces of your ancestors abroad when you are separated by barriers of distance, time, and access to physical archives.
I offer my services primarily to Poles and the descendants of Polish emigrants scattered around the world. It's best to start by gathering information from living relatives-dates of birth, names of parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, and the names of the towns where they were born. Based on this, I develop an archival search plan, assess document availability, and establish research priorities.
The more information you provide at the beginning, the more effective your search will be. Birth and marriage certificates, old photographs with descriptions, family letters, military documents, and any known memorabilia and oral histories are helpful.
If gathering information from your immediate family is impossible, don't worry. You can obtain vital records containing basic information about your ancestors at any Civil Registry Office or other local government office.
The time depends on the scope of the project and the availability of archival collections. Simple research covering one or two generations typically takes 2-4 weeks, while comprehensive multi-generational projects or those involving foreign archives take several months.
Of course, it's possible. Church records and parish registers date back to the 18th century, and sometimes even earlier. Much depends on the geographic region and the state of preservation of a given parish's archival collections.
Yes, a significant part of my clients are Poles and descendants of Polish emigrants from the USA, Canada, Australia, and South America. All communication takes place remotely via email. Even if you don't speak Polish or English, the tools available today allow us to communicate without the need to know languages. I deliver completed reports and materials in a convenient electronic format.

A family tree is a unique map of your family, and its final appearance depends on the format you choose (large-format print, PDF file, GEDCOM format, or interactive website). I will ensure that the project is fully readable and aesthetically pleasing. Each family member will have a unique profile, including their first name, last name (including maiden name), and the dates and locations of key events (birth, marriage, death). If you have family photos, they will be digitally restored and integrated into the project.
